Admissions Requirements for the Certificate Program

Online Learning – What do I need?

The short answer is that you need a computer system capable of running a modem Web browser, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and the latest version of Microsoft Office. In most instances, this means a personal computer running under Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows Vista, or Macintosh OS X, preferably 10.4 or higher.

Online Learning – Orientation

All students are required to participate in a mandatory Orientation to Online Learning offered online prior to the beginning of each course or to have completed it within the past year. Anyone who does not complete orientation will not be enrolled in the course. The orientation is available through our online learning site and will require a User ID and Password assigned after acceptance into the program. Completion of the orientation requires about three hours.

*The application fee is $50 for all applicants and must be paid when you submit your application. The fee will not be waived, deferred, or refunded. Applications will not be considered until the fee has been received. Receipt of payment will be acknowledged by email and will count towards tuition once a student is enrolled.

**A faxed or scanned copy of your transcript can accompany your application but official transcripts for undergraduate and graduate work must be sent directly to the Admissions Coordinator by the issuing institution by the first day of classes. If your transcript is recorded in a former name, please let us know immediately so that the processing of your application is not delayed.

***Identify and seek the recommendations of two individuals (e.g., professors, employers, clergy). These can be submitted by mail or electronically. For both paper and electronic submission of recommendation letters, please follow the instructions outlined on the Application page.
